By the development of a special fabric new three-dimensional light structures can be created. Starting from individual light points, lines of light are created which spread into the depth of the room and thus create luminous, three-dimensional bodies. This type of light installation was designed at Zaventem Airport in Brussels.

The challenge of the project lay in the design of a new kinetic sculpture that runs over the traveller at Brussels Airport and extends across the entire passenger boarding bridge to the baggage claim area.

The animated installation is 70 meters long and features a combination of more than 30,000 individually addressable low and medium resolution LEDs and panoramic video panels in the ceiling, mounted over a kinetic fabric. The display shows a continuous loop of content, and despite the unpredictable and challenging environment, the project shows which passengers arriving at the main international terminal of Brussels Airport can expect from the region and which recommended destinations they should visit on their way.
